The school is in a lower income area with many immigrant families. We have a very multicultural classroom. There are 22 students. The city of Edmonton has a population of approximately one million. Edmonton is the capital of Alberta. Alberta is one of the biggest oil and gas producers in the World. Edmonton is home of the North America’s largest mall: West Edmonton Mall. Our school is jr.k -6 with a population of 400 students. The monster exchange consist of each student drawing a monster and writing a detailed description. We will type the description and email it to the students at Caernarvon Elementary School. They will do the same. When they receive our description and when we receive their description our classes will try to recreate the picture by only using the description sent.
After we have created our pictures, we will email the actual pictures and the students will compare their monster creation.
